Who we are

Bracken Arc provides website design, development, maintenance and creative services. For data protection purposes, Bracken Arc is the controller of the personal information you provide.

Information we collect

When you contact us, we may collect your name, business name, email address, phone number and project details. We use this information to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations and deliver services.

The enquiry form prepares a message in your email application. It does not automatically send your details to Bracken Arc; we receive them only when you send the email. Hosting and email providers may process technical information such as IP addresses and delivery or security logs.

How we use it

We use personal information to communicate with you, provide and improve our services, keep business records and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your information.

Our lawful bases

We process enquiry and project information to take steps at your request before a contract and to perform our contract with you. We rely on legitimate interests for routine business correspondence, service security and resolving queries, balancing those interests against your rights. We process records needed for tax and other statutory duties to meet legal obligations. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Sharing and retention

We may share relevant information with trusted suppliers who help us provide hosting, email or other services. Retention depends on whether an enquiry becomes a project, whether ongoing support is needed, and applicable accounting, legal and dispute-resolution requirements. We review records and remove information when it is no longer needed. If a supplier processes personal information outside the UK, applicable UK transfer requirements must be met, such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or a portable copy of your personal information, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. These rights are subject to legal conditions. We do not use your enquiry information for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Providing project details is voluntary, but without enough information we may be unable to quote or provide the requested service. Contact mike@brackenarc.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or call 0303 123 1113.
